The ship sailed the Mediterranean at the time of Alexander the Great and it sank around 300 B.C., when it was already old! Many of the objects the ship carried on its voyage over 2300 years ago are now also on display in museum.
The central shopping area of Kyrenia lies just behind the old harbor. It is well preserved and has a plenty of narrow streets to explore, with many shops as attractions.
